Volunteer
Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Wild Rose Humane Society. Donating hundreds of hours in virtually every area of our organization, volunteers allow us to continue to provide the services we do. Regardless of the task, all of the work of our dedicated volunteers contributes to our goal of finding loving homes for deserving pets and their new families.
Youth Volunteers:
We accept youth volunteers from age 16 - 18.
Children 10 years and older are able to volunteer ALONGSIDE their parent or legal guardian.
If you are interested in volunteering we ask you to commit to a minimum of 1 shift per week for the first 3 months and a minimum of 2 shifts per month after that to remain active.
Shelter volunteer shifts are mornings from 9:00 AM -11:30 AM and evenings from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM, 7 days a week. We do have volunteer opportunities that have smaller time commitments, but volunteering within our animal care roles will require a dedicated commitment.

fundraising
Our work is made possible largely through donations, and our fundraising team plays a vital role in making that happen. We’re looking for creative, community-minded volunteers who are passionate about animals and excited to plan and lead engaging fundraising events. This role involves a commitment of approximately 5–10 hours per month supporting event planning and execution.
board of directors
The Board of Directors provides leadership, guidance, and oversight to support our organization’s mission and long-term success. We’re seeking dedicated, community-minded individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful impact and helping guide strategic decisions. This role requires attendance at one board meeting per month, along with ongoing collaboration and support as needed.
