The Wild Rose Humane Society (WRHS) was born and established as a non-profit organization in 2007, when a group of passionate individuals came together to address the need for an animal shelter in central Alberta. WRHS believes that a shelter is a small fix for a larger problem: one that extends beyond providing temporary accommodation for homeless pets. Through our commitment to spay/neuter and other education programs, we hope to be part of the solution and finally reach the goal that is common to all shelters and rescues: no more homeless pets.
OUR SHELTER: 13 CO-OP ROAD DIDSBURY
Our shelter was made possible do to the countless hours of renovations completed by our volunteers, and by the generous donations provided by our community and our sponsors. We have a volunteer staff who come in twice a day to care for our animals. We have a front end staff member working Monday to Friday mornings to answer questions, handle adoptions, and care for the administrative part of our shelter.
