Spay and Neuter
Subsidy Program

Please Note: Our Spay Neuter Subsidy Program has been temporarily suspended. Please check back for updates about when the program will reopen.

Wild Rose Humane Society has been running its spay and neuter program since 2011. Residents in the communities between Innisfail and Airdrie can immediately apply to our Spay/Neuter Subsidy Program (SNSP).  The program is aimed at families who can cover the every day costs of having a pet, but who struggle with paying the one time surgical cost of having their pet spayed or neutered.  As of September 2014, we have subsidized over $4,500 for spays and neuters in the communities of Olds, Didsbury and Airdrie.

The program will subsidize up to 80% of the surgery based on your income and other factors.  Please see our SNSP Criteria Calculator for an idea of what percentage subsidy you could be entitled to. Applicants must be willing to take their pet to one of our partner veterinary clinics, this may not be your regular clinic and the clinic may not be in your city/town of residence.

To apply for the program, please complete the SNSP Application Form and return it to us with all supporting documentation.  Applications can be submitted by mail or emailed to program@wildrosehumane.ca.  Incomplete applications will not be considered.
